What "certified" means
A certified translation is a complete and accurate translation of your document, stamped by the translation office and accompanied by a statement that it is a true translation of the original. Most embassies, universities and government bodies ask for this rather than a plain translation.
Some authorities also ask for further steps, such as notarization or legalization by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These requirements change from one authority to another, so always check with the place you are submitting to. Tell us where the translation is going and we will tell you what we can arrange.
Read our step-by-step guide to certified translation in Egypt before you start.
How it works
- Send a clear scan or photo of every page, including stamps and the back of the document.
- Tell us which authority will receive the translation and the deadline.
- We confirm the price and delivery date, usually within the hour.
- You receive a stamped PDF by email, with printed hard copies by courier when needed.
Names and dates, checked twice
A wrong letter in a name or a misread date can get an application rejected. We transliterate names exactly as they appear in your passport if you send us a copy, and every certified translation is checked against the original by a second linguist.
